Sony Ericsson W580 Introduced
Today Sony Ericsson introduced the W580, their newest slider-style Walkman phone. Sony Ericsson says that the model was created for the North American market. If this is true we’d be quite surprised since we can’t remember them ever doing such a thing before.
The model will sport quad-band connectivity with EDGE and a 2.0 megapixel camera. Sony is fast becoming the leader in cell phone camera technology, the recent leak of a 5.0 megapixel model shows that. 2.0 megapixel resolution is actually pretty weak now for a Sony Ericsson, but it’s better than everyone else to put it into perspective.
The model also sports Bluetooth, a 2″ QVGA display, an FM radio, and a sophisticated music player; the model definitely sports a nice feature set considering it was created for the U.S. market.
Since the model is in the introduction stage, this is all the information we have at this time. Watch the Sony Ericsson W580 section of the site for further details.
