Motorola Q User Reviews

Motorola Q User ReveiwsWe have been able to find quite a few user reviews of the Motorola Q, and have created this entry to summarize what the users are saying. For the convenience of our readers, we have combined all of the reviews.
Most users really like the Q. Most users gave the phone an 8 or 9 in the ratings. Users tended to like the design and the wicked small size of the model.

Positive Things People Said In Their Q Reviews

The most common thing said in the user reviews was the incredibly small design. This is an astoundingly thin PDA, and was the first PDA phone to incorporate the power into something this thin and small.

Memory Expansion
The first PDAs that came out has very little memory, and no expansion card-slot. The Q has a memory card-slot, and since many users switched to the Q from other PDAs, they were happy with the expansion of the memory.

High Speed Internet Connection

The Q can operate much more quickly on the internet because of its EV-DO technology. The users in their reviews commented on how quick the model was when surfing, as compared to their old models.

Bluetooth Wireless Functionality
The Bluetooth capabiliy of the model allows for all the typical functions of Bluetooth, which include: headsets, speakers, syncing with a p.c., and more. The Q can also be used as a wireless modem, and connect to the p.c. via Bluetooth. Pretty cool feature!

Full QWERTY Keyboard
We read multiple reviews where users were really happy with the keyboard’s ease of use. We read reviews from quite a few users that said that the keyboard is much easier to use than the keyboards of the Blackberries and Treos.

Long Lasting Battery

The battery life of the Q is good, at least according to the user reviews. Most users said that they could talk for over 4 hours without any problem at all.

Problems With The Motorola Q

Hard To Pop3

Multiple users complained that they had difficulty connecting the Q to their email service. One user stated that he had spent multiple hours on the phone with Verizon, attempting to get his email to work properly. Email seems to be a pretty big frustration for a lot of users.

Using the Operating System

The lack of a touch screen was a pretty big issue for some users. This is a funny one because most users probably knew that there was no touch screen before purchasing the model. It may be one of those things that you think you can live without, and then it comes back and drives you nuts!

Buggy Windows OS

The Q uses the first version of Windows Mobile, which is known to have quite a few bugs. The newer versions of Windows are a lot better.
