The Blackberry Pearl has become a very popular model and it’s time to give you what the users are thinking. We have searched around in forums, blogs, and other user comment sites to find out for you what the users like and don’t like about the Pearl from RIM.

Positives:

The model is very small for a smartphone and users usually talked about this first, as it’s much smaller than other devices that have the same feature set.

Most users also say that the Pearl takes nice pictures.

Several users commented about the fact the the Pearl has expandable memory. They liked it but doesn’t every smartphone have that?

Users love the big, bright screen.

Most users say that the trackball is really nice, and very easy to use.

Negatives

The model can’t record videos; it has a 1.3 megapixel camera that isn’t capable of doing clips. Most users cited this as a major area of dissatisfaction.

Many users say that the operating system is very difficult to learn. This is probably mostly due to the fact that it’s new. Anybody tried to learn a MAC OS? Exactly, it’s not that easy but worth it. Same concept.

Many users have stated in our forum that the Bluetooth is hard to operate.

Overall it’s a good model but it’s not for people that have a hard time figuring things out. It’s one of the harder models to operate.
