Blackberry Pearl 8100 Features
The Blackberry Pearl is a smartphone that lives in a land above the rest. The model gets its name from its very pearl-like trackball navigation system.
The Pearl is quite small for a smartphone, but packs a feature-packed punch. Here are some of the key features of the Pearl.
Text and Email
The model alerts you when you have received an email or text message. The model is fully compatible with pop email, and allows you to add up to 10 email accounts. The model also fully supports SMS and MMS messaging services.
Instant Messaging
The model fully supports instant messaging. Many have really started using this type of mobile to computer communication; it makes it a lot easier for someone sitting by their computer.
Customization Capability
With the Pearl, you are able to fully customize your experience. You can add custom games, wallpapers, screensavers, and ringtones. One nice feature is the ability to chart your custom diet with the model.
Camera
The Pearl 8100 offers a 1.3 mega-pixel digital camera. Users are able to take stills or videos. Let’s not act like this is a ton of resolution, in all reality they could have put a better camera in this little guy. Still, at its price point, the Pearl 8100 camera is still pretty good.
Media Player
The 8100’s media center allows you to do a variety of fun things like music, movies, photos, and more.
Blackberry Maps
This nice feature can help users get to where they need to be. Users can easily view a map of their destination, or get easy to understand step-by-step directions.
MicroSD Card-Slot
Expand the memory of this fool.
Cingular PTT (Push to Talk)
The Blackberry 8100 for Cingular gives the user optional push to talk capability. The user would of course have to be subscribed to Cingular’s service.
This phone is already selling quite well. When we got our hands on it we were amazed at the astounding power in such a small smartphone.
