Apple iPhone Specifications
Apple has posted the specifications of the iPhone on their site, and here are the basics:
| Screen size | 3.5 inches. That is a super big screen for a device like this. The wide screen will be a pretty big selling point, as if Apple needs anymore of these! |
|---|---|
| Screen resolution | 320 by 480 at 160 ppi |
| Input method | Multi-touch. The touch screen is a must have. PDAs that have been released without it have been somewhat rejected by users. This model’s screen may be the most functional ever. |
| Operating system | OS X. This operating system might be a little difficult for new users to learn. Mac users will love it, and the operating system is actually very much user friendly. |
| Storage | 4GB or 8GB WOW! This is a spectalular amount of memory for the first released models. For some reason, we expected less. |
| GSM | Quad-band (MHz: 850, 900, 1800, 1900) GSM was of course the only way for Apple to go. There is such a huge GSM world market this choice was a no brainer. |
| Wireless data | Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) + EDGE + Bluetooth 2.0 The model had to have a nice data spread because users should be able to directly download music and videos. |
| Camera | 2.0 megapixels |
| Dimensions | 4.5 x 2.4 x 0.46 inches / 115 x 61 x 11.6mm |
| Weight | 4.8 ounces / 135 grams |
The iPhone is just as impressive as we all thought it would be. The specifications are amazing and we all know that the Apple brand doesn’t need any work. This model is going to be a freaking revolution of the world as we know it. Seriously.
