Apple iPhone Release Date - Palm’s Death Certificate Date
According to Cnet, the Apple iPhone release date is June 11, 2008. Just kidding, it’s 2007.
Cnet was told this by a sales representative at Cingular, the new AT&T. The source isn’t 100% reliable since he isn’t Steve Jobs, but the date makes sense. We have been thinking June for a while, and June 11th is the first day of Apple’s Worldwide Develepor Conference. Stevie J has always been inclined to announce new developments on large stages.
As most of you know, AT&T (Cingular or whatever you want to call it) will have exclusive rights to the iPhone in the United States. The carrier’s in Europe and other parts of the world haven’t been announced, although it’s likely to be Vodaphone.
Since this is the most anticipated cell phone release of all time, we would expect the model to sell like crazy. This fool thinks otherwise. Palm’s CEO, Ed Colligan thinks that the model will fail, “PC guys are not going to just figure this out. They’re not going to just walk in.” We think it’s pretty funny that Palm is trying to sell out because RIM owns the market now. HAHAHA
Great job Apple, you already own the smartphone market and you haven’t even released the iPhone.
