Amp’d Customer Base Grew 70% In Q1

Amp’d Mobile reported earlier today that their subscriber base grew around 70% during the first quarter of 2007. They reportedly sign up 80,000 new customers, bringing their total to around 175,000. This is most definitely good news for Qualcomm and Viacom, who both back the hip, youth oriented service provider.

Amp’d provides service in the U.S., Canada, and Japan, and haven’t released how many of their new customers were signed up in the U.S.. Amp’d has created a very valuable product and their market demographic is allowing them to make about $100 per month from each of their subscribers - about double the national average.
