Amoi WMA9109 Features and Specifications

March 30th, 2007 by admin

amoi-wma9109.jpgThe Amoi WMA9109 is a brilliant little go getter from China. The model is dual-mode and works with WCDMA 2100 MHz and GSM/GPRS 900/1800 MHz. We don’t know why we don’t get more of these models over here. By the way, the WMA9109 has 3G.

The 9109 also sports a nice little feature set that includes a 1.3 megapixel CMOS camera, speakerphone, Bluetooth 1.1, and expandable memory. As you can see, they tried to make the camera look like the Razr, and succeeded, freaking copycats.

Amoi V870The Amoi V870 is an impressive little model that isn’t very well known in the U.S.. Many people here would love the model, however. Apple iPhone Release Date - Palm’s Death Certificate Date

March 30th, 2007 by admin

Apple iPhoneAccording to Cnet, the Apple iPhone release date is June 11, 2008. Just kidding, it’s 2007. :)

Cnet was told this by a sales representative at Cingular, the new AT&T. The source isn’t 100% reliable since he isn’t Steve Jobs, but the date makes sense. We have been thinking June for a while, and June 11th is the first day of Apple’s Worldwide Develepor Conference. Stevie J has always been inclined to announce new developments on large stages.

As most of you know, AT&T (Cingular or whatever you want to call it) will have exclusive rights to the iPhone in the United States. The carrier’s in Europe and other parts of the world haven’t been announced, although it’s likely to be Vodaphone.

Nokia 5070 Introduced

March 29th, 2007 by admin

Nokia 5070

The Nokia 5070 has been introduced. Interestingly, the 5070 has been nicknamed the ‘dudephone’. The model was made to be really cheap. It lacks features but does have an FM radio and stereo headset and offers a variety of personalization options, not bad for a model that is to be sold in Europe for only €100.

The 5070 focus is messaging, an easy cop-out for handsets that can’t do anything. :)

Verizon Shine Coming - LG Rocks It

March 29th, 2007 by admin

Verizon Shine from LGThe Verizon Shine is on it’s way. Engadget was able to take a shot of the Verizon version at CTIA, and the model seriously looks amazing. The LG shine is already available in Europe (U.K., Russia, etc.) and we have to say wow to this model.

It appears at this time that Verizon doesn’t want to use the ‘Shine’ branding, and will opt for the vx8700 model #. Has there ever been a phone that outclassed the Razr’s look like the Verizon Shine VX8700 does? I submit that there has not!

Some other cell site are saying that the model doesn’t have enough pop to sell well in the U.S., but they couldn’t be more wrong. I’ll be buying one the day it comes out. (If I can’t get LG to send me one.)

Samsung Ubicell Is Freaking Genius

March 29th, 2007 by admin

Samsung UbicellThe Samsung Ubicell is a very innovative, new product. The Ubicell is designed for people that get less than desirable cell service in their homes. The Ubi connects to the users DSL or Cable modem, and gives the users access to their service providers cell network over the internet.

This little gadget is freaking genius and we hope that somehow they can make it legal. (We kind of think that it probably isn’t right now) This would end a lot of frustration for people that can get great cell service until they enter in to their apparently lead lined walls.

Kyocera S1000 Introduced - Don’t They Want To Sell?

March 29th, 2007 by admin

Kyocera S1000Consider the announcement of the Kyocera S1000 proof that Kyocera wants to go out of business! Seriously in our opinion they will probably only sell 3 of these models in the entire universe.

Kyocera has announced key features of this model as ’straight forward keypad for texting’ and ‘3 hours of talk time’. We have no idea how they expect to sell this thing against models such as the Sony Ericsson w300i, which is also free and boasts 9 hours of talk time, a VGA camera, and a music player.
